The
Robert Cupp Signature Course at Palmetto Hall Plantation
Welcome to Palmetto Hall Plantation's 18-hole Robert
Cupp Course, an awesome one-of-a-kind creation that
is unique in all the world of golf. Strikingly geometric
in design, this distinctive par-72 course offers golfers
a unique angle on the game. The layout features such
unusual details as square greens, angular bunkers
and pyramid-shaped mounding (look for "pyramids"
over 10 feet high on the sixth hole!). The Cupp Course
at Palmetto Hall is totally different from any other
golf course on the Island - or in fact, the nation.
Created by respected architect Robert Cupp, the course
is a scenic delight, winding through acres of deep
woodlands and around a dramatic inland "savanna"
marsh with pond and lake views on sixteen of the eighteen
holes. Yet, more than sheer showmanship and beauty,
it is the course's compelling playability that keeps
golfers coming back again and again. From the 5,220-yard
forward tees, the 6,042-yard white tees and the 6,522-yard
blue tees, the Cupp Course turns a forgiving face,
with generous landing areas and hazards that parallel
the fairways. But don't try the 7.079-yard gold tees
unless your sure of your game; it's the Island's most
challenging test of golf, bar none.
